Repertoire

Seeking always to present music which is challenging and rewarding for the performers while being interesting and enjoyable for the audience, the group performs regularly for various social and religious organizations to assist in fund-raising or fellowship efforts. In addition, the Greater Canton Men's Chorus schedules three annual performances for local friends, family, and followers.

Typical selections include traditional favorites like "Amazing Grace", "Down In The Valley", "Seeing Nellie Home", and "My Grandfather Clock".

The repertoire also includes spirituals, show tunes, and patriotic standards such as "The Lord's Prayer", "Thou Art Holy", "The Rose", "Aspects of Love", "This Is My Country", and "God Bless America". Much of the music features the interesting and complex multipart harmonies that have become the hallmark of the chorus. Many of the pieces are arranged by Jack Schaffer, a former member of the chorus, specifically for their performance.
